OOTD: Safari Chic

OOTD: Safari Chic

When I was looking for outfits to wear this weekend, I happen to come across this dress. I'd forgotten that I had it since it was stuck under a pile of a hundred other dresses lol. For the first day of Fall,  it was unseasonably warm out, which gave me an opportunity to wear this Khaki Shirt Dress from Rainbow.

If you've ever been to a Rainbow store before, you'd know at first sight it could be a little scary (well for me anyway lol). There's an abundance of clothing mostly made of spandex and also the clothing can tend to be very colorful. Their stuff is also geared towards a younger crowd as well. But despite their short comings, they do carry inexpensive plus size clothing and on a rare occasion I do find some gems in there, like this Khaki Shirt Dress. I think I paid no more than $16 for it. I did have to make an alteration or two. It came with an attached D-shape buckle belt, which I ended up cutting off. At the end it turned out to be a very cute dress. It has an A-line shape to it with 3/4 sleeves that give you the option to roll up which gives it a very safari look.
I added my animal print belt from Torrid and my Dante Sandals from Sam Edelman. I added a pop of color with this Faceted Geo Nugget Necklace in Cobalt from Forever21, my thrifted Cobalt Clutch, and my Gold Bangle from Zanzibar (gifted).
Until next time Lovies!
