Pockets of Sunshine

Thank you to Lane Bryant for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies,

During this crazy time in the world, it is so important to find things that bring you joy. Everyday I try to find little pockets of sunshine to keep me going. It's honestly helped me get this far without losing my mind. I've definitely learned to enjoy the little things, life is too short, and live in the moment. So recently my pocket of sunshine has been getting dressed up as much as possible. It makes me feel good, puts a smile on my face and brings me peace.

Wanderlust

Thank you to Lane Bryant for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies,

With summer almost coming to end, I can't help but be sad that I didn't get to travel any where. Obviously due to Covid-19, traveling now would not be a good idea. I know a lot of you out there feel the same way and it's better to be safe than sorry, right? Well there's still a way to get the travel bug out your system! You can still do a lot of things within your own city, driving distance, or by public transportation that is safe and fun. Here's my wanderlust list!

Quarantine Memorial Day Fun

Thank you to Catherines for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies!

It's hard to believe that Memorial Day is tomorrow. With everything that is going on with Covid-19 the days have no meaning and just mesh into each other. But as you know I've been talking a lot about how to get some normalcy back in to my life. If you read my previous post, I talked about my quarantine self care day that I take once a week for myself to kinda decompress from the craziness.  Today I am going to be talking about the importance of celebrating special occasions and holidays.

Quarantine Self Care

Thank you to Catherines for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies,

First off I want to start by saying that I hope everyone is safe and in good health! For some of us it has been a tough 2 month dealing with being under lockdown. I live in NYC, in the mecca of this pandemic. I have not left my house in almost 2 months so it's safe to say that I am going a little stir crazy. But in the past weeks of being home quarantine, I've learned to find ways of coping with not seeing my family or friends. Self care is so important especially now, taking time for yourself to just decompress, relax and relieve your mind. So for me I pick a day out the week and make it a Quarantine Self Care Day. It's a day that I take for myself, no influencer work, no Blogger House Curvy Closet business, just a day for me. Here's what I like to do on my self care days.

Century 21 Stores Relaunches Plus

Hi Lovies,

While I have been home due to Covid-19 I've been looking for ways to keep busy and keep my mind off of everything that is happening in the world. Since all stores are shut down at the moment, online shopping has been the way to go. Retail therapy always lifts my spirits and makes me happy. While I know that some people are watching their money spending, as am I, when I do shop, it's always somewhere I can find a good sale. When I found out that Century 21 Stores relaunched their Plus Size online, I couldn't have been more happy.

Keeping Busy

Thank you to Catherines for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies,

As you know the world is currently under a pandemic due to Covid-19. I honestly never thought that I would live to see something like this happen. But it has definitely shown me how we as people can pull together, despite what's going on and try to bring some normalcy into our lives. Right now we are being asked to stay home in order to stop the spread of this virus around the world. This can be very hard for some people especially if you're use to a structure schedule and have a 9 to 5 job. While I currently work from home now with running our Blogger House Curvy Closet business and being an influencer, having to stay home isn't as hard for me. But it can still be difficult when you are use to being able to just get up and go whenever you want. So while we can't be out and around other people I've been doing a few things to help me get through this quarantine situation.

Having Fun for Valentine's Day

Thank you to Catherines for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies,

When it comes to Valentine's Day, I am pretty low key. If you didn't know, me and Bae just made 10 yrs together, so we have a lot of V-days under our belts. One thing is for sure, we have always been easy breezy about this day. We feel that acknowledging ones love for each other shouldn't just be showcased on that day.  But honestly with everything that has been going on in the world, definitely take the time to tell the people that matter the most to you that you love them.

Fashion Funk

Thank you to Catherines for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi lovies,

If you follow me on Instagram (which you should be!), then you know that I've totally been in a fashion funk lately. I love fashion but not much out there right now has been inspiring me. I've browse my favorite brand sites and I literally have to force myself to find one or two things that I actually like. I don't know if it's because we are in that in between stage where you're starting to see some spring pieces but it's still very cold and you're not in that mind set yet. Whatever it is, I knew that something had to change because in my book fashion is suppose to always be fun.

Wearing Active Wear for your Lifestyle

Thank you to Catherines for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies,

As some of you may know, my lifestyle has changed dramatically since last June. I was laid off from my job of 7yrs which definitely threw me for a loop. But I decided to turn a negative in my life into a positive. This unfortunate event gave me the push I need to go full time influencer and entrepreneur. Obviously I was super scared and didn't know what my future held but I was definitely ready to take on what came with it. One of the changes that came with working from home was my wardrobe. Since I as no longer working in an office environment, that meant I wasn't using my more career wear or dressier clothing. I had to shift to a more casual and comfortable lifestyle, which I was actually happy about. One of the types of clothing I gravitated to for my new lifestyle was Active Wear.  Now I will be brutally honest, I HATE working out! It's just something that I can get down with, it not for me. Not saying that I've never tried it, it's just something I can't get myself to want to do. But I do love active wear because it can be casual but stylish, comfortable but chic all at the same time. Right now all I'm looking for is easy, no none-sense type of clothing that can take me from running errands, to picking up clothes from a consignor for our BHCC sales, to going shopping. Active wear hits all those points for me.

Enjoying the Holidays

Thank you to Catherines for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies,

Now that Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping are over, I can start to enjoy the holidays. On the weekends especially are my favorite days to kinda disconnect and do something for myself. I definitely try and head into the city to check out my favorite holiday sites, like the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, Macy's Christmas Windows and Ice Skating at Bryant Park Christmas Village. As a native New Yorker, sometimes you take advantage of all the amazing things to do for the holidays. But I'm super into the holiday spirit this year and want to take a day to enjoy myself. Of course Catherines is always there to help me with that.
