Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them

Hi Lovies,

As you know I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so I was overjoyed when the movie Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them came out. Since the last book that came out was back in 2007 and last movie was 2011, so it was great that they made this one for the fans. Now I will confess, I have yet to see the movie (insert gasp here) only because I haven't found someone to go with that loves HP as me. Now that doesn't mean that I don't know the premise of the movie and the characters. I've read up on back when the trailer came on and I instantly fell in love with movie. The movie is based off  of one of the text books that the students used in Hogwarts and is suppose to be a prequel. From the previews alone I instantly fell in love with the 1920's style clothing that the cast wore in the movie. So you could imagine my joy when Torrid dropped a Fantastic Beast collection. It showcases pieces from the two characters Porpetina and Queenie Goldstein. I was immediately drawn to Queenie's pieces, they were elegant and chic looking, which totally represents my style.

The two pieces that I fell in love with was Queenie's Coat and Embroidered Dress. I could not believe how much they looked like the original costumes from the movie. Her coat just instantly takes you the 1920's, the pale pink was so pretty. The fit and flair design was so period accurate in every way along with the textured fabric and velveteen sleeves. They literally thought of everything with this whimsical coat with the satin paisley lining featuring Legilimens symbols even included a pocket for a wand! I die!!!

Queenie's dress was pretty much everything, from the embroidery details on the neckline and color to the delicate lace lining. The flapper style drop waist and feminine pink color had me ready to do the Charleston with a cute wizard. I was truly blown away by the detailing and quality of this dress, its just Queenie perfection.

  1. I'm adding this jacket to my Christmas list right now! I am an HP fanatic, and Fantastic Beasts was lots of fun. You know I love the 20s Art Deco and flapper era, so the setting for the film was gorgeous and jazzy and fabulous. Queenie was my favorite character, for sure, and she shares my love of glitzy dresses and pink. You look fantastic in this, and you are really selling that dress and jacket. Love it!
