Black Friday Ready

Black Friday Ready

Thank you to Catherines for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Lovies,

We are two days away from one of the biggest shopping days of the entire year! BLACK FRIDAY!  One mistake most people make on this day is not being prepared! And I am here to give you a few tips on what you need to know to survive this day!

I have to say that my Christmas list isn't very big but I do have to venture out and take advantage of the Black Friday sales where possible. So here are a few tips that I live by to make my BF shopping experience a simple one.

1. Have a game plan!

You can easily lose your mind if you just throw yourself into the madness of things. Before heading out, make a list of the people you're buying for and figure out what stores you'll need to go to. Try and see how many of the items on your list you can get in one store. That way you're not just wandering around wasting time.

2. Get an early start!

The earlier you start the earlier you'll be done! You don't realize it but Christmas shopping can take up a lot of time. Plus many stores have their door buster sales that you might want to take advantage of. You never know, you might be able to get that 60" flat screen tv you always wanted!

3. Dress Warm and Comfortable!

You're going to be running around going from store to store all day, so it's important to be warm but still comfortable. I need to be mobile so layering is key, a nice warm cardigan is perfect for that. It'll keep you warm while you're going from store to to store and can easily be taken off if it gets too hot while standing in line. I love this Firebrush Lane Cardigan from Catherines, the buffalo plaid is such a classic print and is extremely comfy. I decided to layer under the cardigan this is adorable and festive Extraordinary Penguin Tee. It makes a statement and let's everyone know that while I am in shopping mode, I still have the Christmas spirit.

Jeans are definitely out of the question for running around Christmas shopping. My go to are a good pair of leggings and these Velour Leggings are not only stylish but the softest, most comfortable pair I own. Of course you don't want to forget about your foot wear. You're going to be doing lots of walking so comfortable foot wear is a must! Catherines Good Soles Slouch Ankle Booties had me feeling like I was wearing sneakers all day.

4. Fuel Your Body!

There's no way you will survive hours of shopping if you haven't eaten a good hearty meal before heading out. You won't make it past 12pm before you find yourself looking for a place for a quick bite to eat. If you thought the lines in the store were long, try getting a Peppermint Mocha in Starbucks.

5. Have Fun!

Not many of us find Christmas shopping fun, but it's important to stay in the spirit and make the best of the day. Bring your sister, bestie, or bae with you and make a day of it. This is the season of giving, so think about how happy your gifts are to make that special person feel. At the end of the day that's all that matters.

I hope these tips will help you have a better Black Friday shopping experience. Make sure to head over to Catherines to shop this look and take advantage of their Black Friday deals this coming Friday!
