Hi Lovies,
Thanksgiving is three days away and I couldn't be happier! It's definitely one of my favorite holidays, next to Christmas. I'm Latina so we really get down when it comes to the Turkey Day spread. You have to come prepared to eat several servings of food along with a few cups of coquito (Latin Egg Nog). You also want to be wearing clothes that are going to be comfortable once that food belly starts to grow but still look stylish while you're sitting in the living room waiting for the food to be done. Of course Catherines always has me covered in that department.
My family always laughs at me because I am that girl who always gets dressed up for the holidays, even if I am going to just be in the house. But as I've gotten older, I still want to be dressed up but comfortable as well. Sweater dresses are the perfect way to looked pulled together and comfy at the same time. That's why I chose this Comfy Soft Scarf Dress for my living room slay look. This dress is beyond soft and comfy, with the stretchy ribbed fabric that feels great on the body. The detachable scarf is such a nifty feature, giving you two ways to wear the dress, while the pretty color catches the eye.
Even though I am going for a more comfortable look, doesn't mean I can't add a hint of glam. When I saw their Glowing Grove Kimono, I instantly fell in love with it. There's so much you can do with this kimono. I went with using it like a shawl and draping it over my shoulders to jazz up the dress. The sequins and fringe were so fun and flirty, giving me tons of sparkle. I kept the foot wear casual as well with Catherines uber comfortable Wedge Riding Boots which will be great for a long night ahead of good food and family.
I can wait to rock this look for Thanksgiving! Let me know what you think of this look and if it's a worthy "Living Room Slay". Head over to the Catherines site to shop this look and take advantage of their current sales.
Thanks for reading!
