Hi Lovies,
Today I come to you with a heavy heart. As I sit here watching the news of the devastation in both my native island of Puerto Rico and in Mexico I couldn't help but feel like I needed to do something to help. So after wiping away tears, spending hours brainstorming with friends, my bestie and I have decided to partner up with a few additional influencers to host our first ever BHCC Relief Sale via FB live. So for all of those who want to help out, here is some additional information about how you can take part and contribute.
What is the Blogger House Curvy Closet?
Darlene of Suits, Heels & Curves and I created the Blogger House Curvy Closet in April and have been hosting weekly closet sales selling new and gently used plus size clothing via Facebook Live .
How to donate clothing?
At the moment we will be collecting clothing in the NYC tri-state area including parts of New Jersey and Connecticut. We have several volunteers in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Connecticut and New Jersey area that will be available to meet with you to pick up your goodies. Please email us at contactus@suitsheelsandcurves.com to schedule your pickup.
What should I donate?
New and gently used clothing. Please donate items that are sellable. Items that are ripped or stained will be discarded.
What happens to the clothing that doesn't sell?
Clothing that is not sold will be donated to a local charity.
What other ways can I be involved?
There are many ways that you can be involved. We are still looking for volunteers to coordinate pick ups, sort through clothing, label and help with post sale packaging. In addition, you can also make a monetary donation to the BHCC Relief Sale by contacting us at contactus@suitsheelsandcurves.com. And as always, we would love your support with spreading the word about our sale via Facebook, Instagram or your private networks.
When will the BHCC Relief Sale take place?
BHCC Relief Sale will take place on Sunday, October 1 at 5pm via Facebook Live.
What are the prices of the items sold at BHCC Relief Sale?
- Tops – $15
- Pants, Shorts, Skirts, Sweater – $20
- Swimsuits – $25
- Dresses, Vest, Rompers, Jumpsuits – $25
- Blazers, Jackets – $30
- Coats – $40
Shipping is not included in the BHCC Relief Sale and will be added on separately. All items will be shipped via USPS priority mail.
How can I place an order during the BHCC Relief Sale?
- All items must be paid via PayPal within 24hrs or your order will be cancelled.
- Once the closet sale is done, please send us a Facebook message with your PayPal email so we can send you an invoice for your purchases.
- Do not send payment directly, please wait for us to invoice you.
How will the BHCC Relief Sale work?
- Each clothing item will be numbered.
- Wait until item is described and we give the go ahead to shop.
- You must say want or interested with the item number.
- If you say want or the number before we say go, you will be eliminated and the next person will be eligible to purchase.
What organizations will receive support from the BHCC Relief Sale?
We are currently in the process of identifying two local grass roots non-profits organizations on the ground to partner with. Information regarding how much is raised and donated will be distributed to all of the donors and shoppers.
