Vineyards

Vineyards

Hi Lovies,

A few weeks ago me, Bae and 3 other couples went to Warick, NY to check out the wineries up there. I had been dying to go wine tasting for the longest time and was super excited about going. There are quite a few wineries up there but we only visited two, one of which also had beer tasting. The guys were very happy about that. The first winery we stopped at was called Demarest Vineyards, it was so beautiful, and owned by an old retired couple from Italy. Bored with their retirement Francesco got on his caterpillar dozer and cleared his land to plant grape vines. Francesco himself actually does the wine tasting with you in their quaint little store. He's very knowledgeable and proud of his delicious wines. Right outside their store are their rows and rows of grape wines, it was such a beautiful sight to see. Can we say photo op??

The second winery we stopped at was called Applewood Winery, this was a much bigger spot, with both wine tasting, beer tasting, a general store, homemade pizza stand and live music. I really loved their wine tasting, every one wine I tried was truly delicious. I wanted to buy them all but settled on 2 of my favorites to take home. We spent a good amount of time at this winery just enjoying the day, each other's company and the beautiful scenery.

Since I knew we were going to be and about all day, I definitely wanted to be comfortable but still cute. This Dipped Hem Dress from JJill was perfect for a day at the wineries. I loved how it has the appearance of being denim but it's actually a soft knit. While this dress was pretty simple it still had lots of character with the angled shape hemline. It was a pretty hot day, but I remained cool and comfy in this dress.

Thanks for reading!

  1. I love visiting local winery and breweries and trying the samples! I went to a cidery yesterday actually which was really lovely. I'll have to check out these places if I'm ever in the area.
