Weekend Wear: The Military Jacket

I'm back with another Weekend Wear post and this one is all about the Military Jacket. I've talked about how popular the Military Trend has become and has stayed true for a few seasons now. You can find this style in almost everything from pants to tops and the most iconic being the military jacket. I love uniform look and menswear feel of this type of jacket as well as how versatile it can be. Now I know what you're saying, since I am the ultimate girly girl, how would I incorporate this into my everyday style? Well when you're favorite brand comes out with one with embellished pockets, you make the exception.

I had actually got a glimpse of this beauty when I visited the Eloquii headquarters in December for a photo shoot. After that I stalked the website waiting for it to pop up and when it finally did I purchased it immediately. This was definitely an updated version of a traditional casual jacket with a feminine spin on it. The light color embellishments against the army green color just made the jacket pop, utility met it's girl side. Perfect for this crazy weather we're having in NYC lately where spring is trying to make it's way to us early. You can wear this jacket alone or layered over you're favorite top like I did here and some deconstructed jeans. By adding some fun accessories like this backpack and a pop of color with these booties, just makes the style all your own.
