Nontraditional Valentine's Day

Nontraditional Valentine's Day

Hi Lovies,

In my previous post I talked about how the color red it synonymous with Valentine's Day and incorporated that into my look. Now not everyone is into the whole red or pink colors for this day, some like to be different and change it up a bit. I know I can definitely be that girl who would rather stand out in a crowd than blend in with everyone else. So today's look is for my nontraditional gals who like to step out the box and bring a twist to their look for V'Day.

When I first saw this set on Eloquii, I instantly fell in love with the print. The play on colors along with the abstract design are so appealing to the eye. I knew I wanted the skirt, but the matching top was calling my name too. Now normally I am not into matchy-matchy sets like this but I felt it would be perfect for my nontraditional vday look, plus I could wear each piece separately as well. The two pieces together were playful but yet romantic with the off the shoulder sweetheart neckline, giving off a little sexiness. While the skirt was ultra feminine with the soft pleating, A-line silhouette and convenient pockets.

Pairing the set with my merlot heels and bag totally glammed up the look, making me Valentine's Day ready.

  7. Love it! This is a great set; I thought it was a dress at first look but the fact that it's a set makes it even better. Wishing I think I'll take a nontraditional take on my Valentine's Day outfit next year.
