This past Saturday was a Breast
Cancer Fundraiser in my Beau's Mother's honor. I unfortunately never got
to know her because she past away a week before me and my boyfriend
met. I've been with Eric for almost 3yrs and from the many stories I've
heard from my Beau, his siblings and family, she was an amazing woman.
It's sad that I didn't get to know but she left
behind her wonderful Son who I have been blessed to have in my life.
I wanted to wear something nice for the event, so I decided to go with this Peacock Feather Print Dress
from Forever 21. This dress has become an instant favorite. I love the
beautiful mauve color and the feather print makes it so elegant
looking. My favorite thing on the dress are smocked metallic threaded
cuffs on the sleeves. It gives just a touch a sparkle from the gold
metallic threads along with the shirred shoulders.
I removed the belt the dress came with and added my favorite Turtle Buckle Belt from ASOS.com, along with my thrifted gold clutch and my Jessica Simpson boots (old) from Bakers. I accented the outfit with my new Opaque Bead Necklace from Forever 21.
It
turned out to be such a wonderful night filled with great friends and
family all there to honor such an amazing woman Carmen Milagros Gonzalez
and they raised almost $4,000 for the Breast Cancer Foundation!
