I was finally meeting up with my good friend Vanessa to attend a comedy show in my neighborhood. I wanted to wear something dressy but casual so I decided to go with a color block look. I bought this Contrast Lace Yoke Shirt from Forever 21 a while ago and didn't know what I wanted to wear it with. This gave me the opportunity to finally wear my Plum Faux Leather Pants also from Forever 21.
This blouse is so delicate looking with the black lace on the top of the shirt as well as the sheer material. The bottom of the shirt has the hi-lo design which is one trend I enjoy. The pants are such a great fit and loved the way the plum color complimented the blouse.
I paired it with my ASOS Curve Metal Bow Belt, Plum Croc Print Clutch from Pay/Half and my Almond Toe Wedges from Forever 21. I accented the outfit with my Beaded Chandelier earrings also from Forever21.
Now that I've tried the whole color block trend, I will definitely give it a whirl again. What are some of your favorite color block looks?
