Plus Size Remix: My Small Wardrobe

Plus Size Remix: My Small Wardrobe

Hi Lovies,

Welcome back to another edition of the Plus Size Remix, the first for 2017. As I stated in my round up post, I will be definitely trying to get one of these out every month. If this is your first time to the blog, PSR is a monthly feature where I take a look that inspires me and remix it into a plus size version. If you missed any of my previous PSR, head over my Pinterest board to catch up. This month's inspiration came from someone that I have been following for a while and totally admire, Carelia of My Small Wardrobe. I just adore her style, she loves mixing vintage garments with contemporary and classic pieces. Her looks are eccentric, funky and fun, plus I love what she stands for. Her goal is to encourage women regardless of size, age or body type to #DressFun. Not to mention she's a fellow Latina and is representing the fabulous 40 and over club. Yassss!

At first I thought it would be a challenge to find a look that inspired me because our styles are so different. But despite that, I felt a connection with her and found some similarities in our styles. As I browsed her blog, I came upon this look and instantly knew this was the one I would remix. It was definitely something that I would wear and it had so many of my favorite things, like a denim skirt, leopard print and a cape. As I mentioned in all my PSR post, I try not to buy anything new for these looks and shop my closet instead. I also like to add my own little spin to the look so that it also represents me and my personal style.

What I loved about this look is the mix of fabrics, colors and prints, everything just went so well together. This cape from Eloquii was such a great match and the focus point of the ensemble. Tying in the red sweater and leopard print tie bow blouse for color and contrast. Then adding in my own style by wearing burgundy boots and my waist belt bag instead of a purse  just completed the look. It was so great to channel Carelia's fashion sense for this look.

I hope you enjoy my first Plus Size Remix of 2017, I so loved how this look came out.  Don't forget to follow Carelia's Blog, My Small Wardrobe and check out all her great fashion. Ithere any looks that you'd like to see me recreate, let me know in the comments below. I'd love to take on the challenge! Until next month!

Thanks for reading!
