Well I am FINALLY back with a Plus Size Remix! I have been a bad blogger and the last time I did one of these was back March. That just won't do! So if this is your first time seeing one of my PSR, it's a monthly feature where I take a look that inspires me and remix it into a plus size version. It's my way of showing my plus size ladies that we can accomplish the same looks even if it's something not in our size. If you missed my previous ones, check out my Pinterest page and make sure to follow the board so you will be notified when I post something new. Today's inspiration comes from one of my favorite straight size blogger Folake of Style Pantry. This woman is so amazing, she's a working mother of 3 and still has time to run a blog and look fabulous everyday. Can we say #GOALS? I am fascinated by her style, she's effortlessly chic at all times. She can pull off an elegant and polished look, then turn around and give you a types of funky, edgy and ultra chic. And can we talk about that hair, just gorgeous! I had been dying to recreate one of her looks for the longest and this one called my attention. I look forward to all her personal style post and you should definitely be following her.
My rule when it comes to these Plus Size Remixes is that I must put the look together from things already in my closet. It makes it more of a challenge and forces me to shop from my closet. I loved all the elements of this outfit, my favorite was the military style blazer and red shoes, luckily I had both already. While Folake blazer was black, I went with this Denim Military Jacket version from Eloquii to give it my own spin on the look. There's something about a military style blazer that's just so dapper while remaining sophisticated. They are timeless and so versatile, everyone one should have ones of these in their closet. Now cargo pants are kinda rare for me because you guys know I am a dress/skirt girl. Like I've said in some of my previous posts, I am trying to push my fashion and step out the comfort zone. During the summer I got these cargo pants and actually really liked them, there's a lot you can do with them. To finalize the ensemble, I popped on these Red Pom Pom heels and grabbed this white v-neck tee that said "On Fleek" and the look was complete!
I hope you enjoy this Plus Size Remix, I had such fun putting this look together. Make sure to follow Folake's blog Style Pantry. If there any looks that you'd like to see me recreate, let me know in the comments below. I'd love to take on the challenge! Check out my Pinterest board with all my previous remixes here.
