Style Challenge with Gwynnie Bee: Blouse with Bow

Hi Lovies!

I love a challenge, especially a style challenge. It pushes me to get my creative juices flowing and kinda think out the box. So when Gwynnie Bee contacted me about participating in their monthly feature on their blog "One style, three ways" along with 2 other bloggers, I was more than happy to do it. If you've not familiar with them, they are basically Netflix but for plus size clothing. Subscribers choose from different plans (and prices) depending on how many items they want to have out at a time.  Subscribers browse the collection, select items that they like, select their size (based on size charts for each brand) and put them in their closet. Once a minimum number of items are "closeted," new members are sent a box with their first items, depending on the plan they chose. You can keep the items for as long as you want without commitment or if you really like something, you have the option to buy it at a discounted price. Shipping is super quick and I love getting treats in the mail. When you're done with the items, just pop it into the prepaid envelope they provide you with and drop it into your nearest mailbox, it's as simple as that! So this month's challenge was the "Blouse with Bow". GB asked me to choose from a few different bow blouses and style them in 2 different ways. The first top is this gorgeous printed one from Isabel + Alice. I've never heard of this brand so was curious to see how it fit. It's definitely a fun and bold piece. Since the pattern of this top was so vibrant, I instantly knew I wanted to pair it with a cute and flirty black tutu skirt. It was such a whimsical but elegant look.

The 2nd top I chose is unfortunately not available anymore but this one by Melissa McCarthy is a dead ringer. A great way to get use out of your sleeveless dresses during the winter is layering a top underneath. This top was perfect because it added a pop of color and gave this simple leather dress a new and fresh look. To finish the look, I wore my leopard heels, which added just the right amount of contrast.
