Last week, as you know from my previous post here, was FFFweek as well as theCURVYcon. So to say I was a busy beaver is putting it lightly. Thursday was actually one of the more relaxed days, with the Hal Rubenstein and Marla Wynne blogger event. It was great to meet both designers and have them introduce their lines to us bloggers. Both of their lines are currently sold at HSN.com. At the end of the event, they sent the attendees off with a nice gift bag with a necklace from Marla and scarf from Hal. Since the event ended fairly early, me and my girl Darlene of Suits, Heels, & Curves decided to coordinate a "Plus Size Happy Hour" at the Skyroom Rooftop Lounge. It was super last minute and we posted about it literally on the same day. To our surprise, a few folks showed up and it turned out to be such a great night! In the words of Hannibal from the A-team "I love it when a plan comes together!"
Had such a blast with all my beautiful blogger babes. Shout out to my girls Sam, Ellice and Mariella from the Modamix team for coming out and showing love. Looking forward to coordinating the next Plus Size Happy Hour!
My outfit for that day was very simple but cute. I am normally not the matchy-matchy type but when I saw this Graphic Crop Top and Skirt set on Eshakti, it immediately caught my eye. I loved the yellow/gold color that is so perfect for the summer along with the graphic embellishments on the top. The cotton material totally kept me cool throughout the day and the fact that I can wear both pieces separately took this set to a whole other level!
Are you a fan of matching sets? What do you think of this one?
Thanks for reading!!
Love this outfit on you and it looks like a Glam event. Kudos!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have known about the happy hour! I would have gladly linked up with you all.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how the celebrities do it, going to events every night. I don't know about you but FFFWeek left me exhausted lol. And I'm a jetsetter lol.
