The Curvy Con

I am so excited to share with you some amazing information regarding a wonderful event hitting my backyard, aka New York City. theCURVYcon is the first conference dedicated to plus size women, fitness, and lifestyle. It will take place June 20th at the Metropolitan Pavilion West in New York City It is a day-long event that will bring plus size brands, fashionistas, shopaholics, bloggers and YouTubers into one room, to chat curvy, shop curvy and embrace curvy. They are providing a space to embrace our curves, do a little shopping, and tackle topics like confidence, fashion and style, health, fitness, dating, body positivity and everything in between. And yes, you know I already have my ticket!

theCURVYcon is brought to you by two of my favorite blogger babes Chastity Garner of GarnerStyle and Cece Olisa of Plus Size Princess. The event also features an amazing lineup of speakers such as Gabi Gregg, Nadia Aboulhosn, Crissle West, Amanda Allison, and Chante Burkett, as well as vendors like Fashion to Figure, Eloquii, NYX Cosmetics, Ideel, Dia&Co, Rebdolls, HookedUp Shapewear and Eleven60. Not to mention an all star keynote speaker by a true star and advocate for the plus size community, Ms. Amber Riley of Glee and Dancing with the Stars.  

Now, although the event is in New York, it is open to everyone who can make their way to the city. I personally can't wait to spend a full day within the immensely supportive plus size community, sharing laughs and stories with other woman, who like me struggle with fashion choices, insecurities and self doubt. 

Tickets are currently on sale at theCURVYcon.com. The $249 Platinum Level tickets, which provide attendees with admission, a conference tote, swagg, access to speaker meet and greets, and reserved seating, sold out within 5 hours of ticket sales opening on March 13, 2015. Still available are Teal Level tickets at $149, which include admission, a conference tote and swag, and General Admission tickets at $99, which include admission and a conference tote. Hurry! Tickets are running out quickly and I would hate for you to miss out on this fabulous event.

If you are coming to the event from out of town, don't worry about where to stay, the CURVYcon has covered that as well! The Yotel is the host hotel of the conference. It's a 10 minute walk from theCURVYcon and is in the heart of Manhattan. Attendees who book before May 19th can secure a queen cabin for $219 per night.
