My Tutu and the Brooklyn Bridge

My Tutu and the Brooklyn Bridge

Hi Lovies!

If you're a girly girl like me, then you must squeal like a one when you hear the word "tutu". There's something so magical and whimsy about a tutu skirt. It brings me back to my childhood days when all I wanted to be was a princess. I've been searching for the perfect tutu for a while and saw a few out there in the blogisphere but nothing that caught my eye. Until I saw the one that the fabulous Kim from the blog The Natural Fashionista was wearing. I knew right when I saw it that that was the one I wanted!

This gorgeous skirt came from an awesome company called eShaktieShakti is a company that offers clothing from sizes 0-36 (which is awesome for us bigger gals!), and they even offer customization; you can change different elements about the clothing, or send in your measurements for a truly custom fit. I literally want everything on the site! I ordered a shirt dress from them as well and it fits perfectly (blog post to come soon). The tutu skirt is from their bridesmaids collection, and it's called the Trinity Crinoline. The material is so light and airy, and of course like many of their skirts and dresses, it has pockets!! I kept the look simple by wearing a black camisole and one of my fav blazers from Forever 21.

It was such a beautiful day Saturday, I dragged my niece April (the photographer) and decided to go to the Brooklyn Bridge to take pics. I'd never been before and now I can scratch it off my bucket list. As expected the bridge was crowded with tourist, as well as regular New Yorkers and cyclist. But we made the best of it. The view was breath taking and beautiful, I wanted to spend all day there!
