Gingham

Gingham

Hi Lovies,

Gingham print was never one of my favorites, but over the last few years it has made a come back. It was the print of 2015 and has trickled into 2016. Most people think of it as more of a mascline print but what helped to make the trend feel more sophisticated were the ladylike silhouettes, like tailored blouses and blazers, dresses with hourglass shapes, and pencil skirts with up-to-there slits. It has definitely grown on my me and have actually added a few items to my wardrobe, like this Studio Pleated Midi from Eloquii. This has to be my absolute favorite skirt from them, the stretch scuba was comfortable and had great movement. The gingham print was so pretty and feminine along with the midi silhouette made this the perfect skirt. Not to mention Eloquii has finally answered my prayers and added pockets to it, Hallelujah!!! Eloquii, please this skirt in every color of the rainbow!!

If you read my previous post (see here) then you know that I have become obsessed with off the shoulder tops. I just keep buying them, they are perfect for any season and look great on just about any one. This one from Torrid was a great addition to my collection and went perfect with the skirt, keeping the look simple but chic. The subtle sexiness of the blouse with the print of the midi skirt was the perfect balance.
