Marla Wynne Collection

Marla Wynne Collection

Hi Lovies!!

Last June I had the pleasure of attending a blogger event during Full Figured Fashion Week that was hosted by Marla Wynne. She's an amazing designer and we were able to check out her collection at this event. We actually got to speak with Marla and get more in depth about the pieces, fit, quality, etc. I remember how passionate she was when she spoke about her clothing. It was very refreshing and definitely left me with interest in her brand. Fast Forward to 2016, Marla's team reached out to me and asked if I'd like to come by her apartment to have a meeting with her, check out her latest collection, talk about future projects and get better acquainted. Needless to say I was more than happy to say yes and couldn't wait. The meeting was wonderful, Marla is such a charismatic, funny and awesome person. She couldn't wait for me to try on some of her pieces and give my feedback on them. At the end of the meeting, we had decided that we definitely wanted to work together, and I left with a bag full of amazing pieces to share with you all today!

When I first tried on this Quilted Coat at Marla's apartment, all I could say was "This coat is EVERYTHING!" Marla thought it was the funniest thing but I wasn't kidding, it was def love at first try on lol! It was just so different and uber chic, with the cascading high/low design and quilted fabric. It felt so comfortable on and was surprisingly very warm, I didn't want to take it off.  A bunch of looks were going through my head but I wanted to keep it casually chic. I paired the coat with her Jaspe Turtleneck Butterfly Tee and Stitch Detail Leggings. Omg, these leggings are amazing! Extremely comfortable, fit like a dream with plenty of stretch. I had them on all day running around and there wasn't any bagging or sagging. I loved that it had a seam going down the middle of the leg, gave them a bit of flare. Not to mention, there's shapewear is built into the waistband to give you a more smoother and slimming look. The turtleneck is another great piece which can be worn so many ways. It's substantial enough to wear alone or layered like I did here. Definitely a staple item to have in your wardrobe. Oh and can we talk about this Piano Necklace?! It's such an statement piece that can take the simplest of outfits up an notch.

This Knit Topper with Contrast Pipping is nothing short of amazing, so elegant and classy. It's also very versatile, great for work with a pair of slacks and tailored shirt or with her Butterfly Crewneck Modern Tee and leggings like I did here. It comes in this color and black with white pipping. I love the rich feel and look of it, such a classic piece. Neiman Marcus has the exact same topper for double the price, while Marla's is more budget friendly. So why not get hers, right??

This Oversized Ottoman Stitch Sweater was definitely a surprising piece. I tend to shy away from anything that is oversized because it can make me look bigger. This sweater was the total opposite, it's actually flattering due to the angular design of it. The stitch knit is so pretty and the mock neck is perfect for the colder days here in NYC. It comes in 5 colors Periwinkle, Petal, Soft White, Straw and the color I'm wearing Stone Blue. Again, all of Marla's pieces are so versatile, as well as being interchangeable with each other which in my book is a plus!
