Pantone Spring 2016 Blogger Collaboration

Hi Lovies!!

Working for a fashion company for the last 4 years, I've learned a lot about the industry. Pantone is a big part of creating new lines, styles and color stories. Recently Pantone released their Spring 2016 Top 10 colors and according to Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute "The colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves."  That's exactly how I felt when I saw these amazing colors. With that came the awesome idea for a group of us bloggers to do a collab. So today I bring you the Pantone Spring 2016 Blogger Collaboration. Similar to the one I was in last year (see here), we each chose a color from the collection and created a look. I love these types of collabs because it shows how different our individual styles are while still having some uniformity between us all.

Valentine's Day Glam

Hi Lovies!!

For most women, Valentine's Day is a day to get super ultra sexy for your special someone. And while I see nothing wrong with that, I tend to gravitate towards more elegance and sophistication for that day. I guess I'm just old fashioned in that sense, and took a page out my mom's handbook about always representing yourself as a lady. It still can be very sexy, while totally representing me and my personal style. This Rita Turtleneck Dress by Corey from Gwynnie Bee is a perfect example of that. I love the draped turtleneck and rope tie belt that helps to accentuate the waist. The charcoal grey color is classic and can go with pretty much anything. What gives this dress it's sexiness is the two front slits that show off just enough leg, but still leaves something to the imagination. I added a pop of color with my red clutch and I'm ready to have a night out to be romanticized.

That 70's Show

Hi Lovies!!

The 70's trend has hit the fashion scene by storm and is popping up every where. We are seeing wide leg pants, bell sleeves, fringe and lots of suede. When I think of the 70's, I always refer to a picture I took when I was about 4 yrs. old with Santa Claus. I was dressed in a denim patchwork suit and my facial expression in the picture pretty much explained how I felt about being with Santa and wearing that suit, lol! Now that I'm older I can appreciate that trend more and make it my own. This denim dress from Eloquii was a must have the minute I saw it. I'm a total sucker for a denim dress and this one had such a 70's vibe to it. I love the exposed front zipper and tie belt, along with the over-sized pockets made this such a fun dress.
