La Pecosa Preciosa Turns Three: Modamix Giveaway!

Hi Lovies!

It's day 3 of my Blogiversary giveaways and I'm having so much fun! Today's giveaway is brought to you from a brand that is dear to my heart, Modamix. As you remember I did a look book of their Summer collection (see here) as well as using the photos on their flyers for The Curvy Con. Since then my relationship with Modamix and their team has grown and I can now call them my friends. They continue to support and believe in what I'm trying to do for the brand by bringing great content to my readers. So they were kind enough to participate in my blogiversary and give one of my readers a chance to win their amazing Taylor Moto Jacket ($129 value)! I adore this jacket, the abstract earth tone design is just perfect for the Fall. The fit is perfect and I loved how great it went with their Dara Top and Siri Skirt giving me a chic and edgy look. They have really put out a wonderful Fall collection, with lots of staple pieces. Most of it can be mix and match to create awesome ensembles. So make sure to check out Modamix which is currently being sold at Lord & Taylor (in store and online).

La Pecosa Preciosa Turns 3: Lane Bryant Giveaway!

Hi Lovies!

We are keeping this giveaway train rolling, so today's look is brought to you by Lane Bryant. LB holds a special place in my heart, I've been shopping with them since I as long as I could remember. They were like the only plus size store around for the longest time and it's just great to see how it has evolved over the years. Right now LB is at it's peak of fashion and style with their amazing Fall line that is currently online and in stores. This Polka Dot Midi Skirt was one of the first things to catch my eye. The amazing pleating in the front and the midi length along with the large polka dot print just made it the perfect lady like skirt. Then paired with this adorable Tie-front top and Lace-up Strappy Heel, totally made me feel like Katherine Hepburn ready for breakfast at Tiffany's!

La Pecosa Preciosa Turns 3: Eloquii Giveaway!

Hey Lovies!

It's so hard to believe that my blog is 3 years old! So much has happened to me and my blog within those years. I've connected with great companies and brands, met amazing people, most of who I now consider my good friends and I have made strides within the plus size community. Not to mention my wonderful readers and supporters of the blog, which without you guys, this couldn't be possible. The first year I didn't celebrate since I was still a fledgling and the second year I decided against celebrating because I had recently loss my Mom. But this year, I figured 3rd times a charm, so I wanted to do something and celebrate big! I reached out to a few of my favorite brands and I will be doing 5 days of giveaways as a thank you for all the love and support you have given me throughout these 3 years!

Zebra Stripes

Hi Lovies!

You ever have one of those days that the outfit you chose just puts you in the best mood? It actually puts a pep in your step and the fact that you're going to work doesn't bother you as much anymore? Well some clothes can do that, it could be a shirt, or a special dress and even an awesome pair of shoes that can change your whole attitude for the day. Well that's how I totally felt with this outfit. It was a cheerful yet playful ensemble starting with my amazing chartreuse midi from Eloquii. As I said in one of my other post (here) Chartreuse is one of my fav colors. Then along with my contrasting zebra stripe top, that I scored the Modamix sample sale. It literally was a match made in heaven.

Sexy in Violet

Hi Lovies!

You gotta love a dress that is simple but versatile, that can take you from day to night with a quick change of your accessories. I'm always on the hunt for clothes like that because I enjoy getting my moneys worth wherever possible.  This Cocoon Crepe dress from Old Navy was one of those items. I loved the violet color and silhouette as well as being able to dress it up or down. Normally I don't wear this type of dress because they can tend to make you look bigger but since it was tapered towards the bottom it still gave me some shape. I felt super sexy in it and couldn't have been more comfortable. Not to mention the v-neckline which is very flattering. This is a great piece to add to my Fall wardrobe.

Military Chic

Hi Lovies!

I love days when I can just get up and throw something on that is easy breezy, when I don't have to worry about shape wear or hemlines. One of my favorite things to throw on are a comfortable pair of cargo/jogger pants. They are so effortless and can be styled in so many ways, just like these Camo Printed ones from Lane Bryant. I'm a sucker for anything camouflage print, so getting these was a must. I loved the tapered leg and zipper detail on the side as well as the large cargo pockets. They're right on trend with the whole military chic look and are a great staple for Fall.

Tribal Girl

Hi Lovies!

I love to see the transition that my closet has taken over the last few years. As I've gotten older, I have grown to love all things color. I am always looking for something colorful to add to my wardrobe, it just makes me smile to see a plethora of color in my closet. When Eloquii came out with this amazing Tribal Print Midi Skirt, I knew it was definitely coming home to mama. I loved the design and colors of this skirt, it was something different that I didn't already own. As you know I am always looking for something that can be worn both for work and weekend, and this totally fit the bill. It's the perfect length and fit super comfy due to the soft elastic waist. It is definitely a statement piece and I can't wait to see what other ways I can style this amazing skirt.

Stripes and Denim

Hi Lovies!

Now that summer is soon coming to a close (tears!), I am unfortunately getting my mind set for the Fall season. By doing that, I start going through my Summer clothes and seeing what I can transition over to Fall. I'm all about clothes that can be carried over from season to season and denim is ones of those things. Whether it be a dress, skirt or jeans, denim is a year round staple in my closet. This skirt from Eshakti is a perfect example, it's great right now for the remaining summer days but can easily be worn in the fall with tights and knee high boots. I just love the deep indigo wash on this skirt and the soft pleating, which gives it such a feminine look. Eshakti makes amazing skirts, I have a few in my wardrobe (see here and here) and you gotta love a skirt that comes with pockets!
