Saturday officially kicked off the week long events that I will be attending in conjunction with Full Figure Fashion Week and The Curvy Con. Starting with the 2nd Annual Golden Confidence Pool Party. Now if you been following me for a while, I attended this event last year (check out here) and had the best time at an event EVER! This year was no different, Essie Golden spared no expense this year to make this one just as a success as last year. The rooftop of The Holiday Inn was a sea of beautiful plus size women adorned in the best swimsuits out there. Strutting their stuff around the pool area with such confidence. Just like last year there was food, drinks and great music throughout the evening. To cap of the night, they had a swimsuit runway show showcasing awesome swimwear from different brands. Then Essie Golden and Chante from Everything Curvy & Chic surprised us all with announcing that they collaborated with Rebdolls to create a swimsuit line. They had some of the same girls from the runway show, sashay down giving us a sneak peek of the line. They were all so fabulous and chic, with a little something for everyone.
The brand Always for Me reached out wanting to introduce their site and asked if I'd like to pick out a few swimsuits. If you've never heard of them, they have long been one of the most popular and trusted online destinations for plus-size swimwear, active wear and lingerie. Offering exceptionally beautiful styles for all body types in high-performance and long wearing fabrics that bend, stretch and jump with you. Their mission is to help women look and feel their best. I have to say that choosing a swimsuit was very easy because there was so many that caught my eye. This Serengeti Swimdress was definitely one of them. You guys know my love affair with anything animal print and this suit was leopard print perfection. I've never tried a swimdress before because I thought they were a little matronly but not this one. I loved the twisted front bandeau style along with the supported foam cups that kept everything in place. The beautiful front ruching and skirt made this such a slimming and figure flattering piece. It also has removable straps that you can change up the look with or wear it strapless for a sexier look. I have to say this swimsuit definitely makes a statement and was quite the show stopper.
I never go to the pool or the beach without some coverup, not only are they stylish but are great when you want to wander around the pool area or boardwalk. This Rope Burnout Cover up was just the ticket for a rooftop pool party. It was such a relaxed and easy to wear cover up that totally added some extra flare to my suit. The mesh design was super chic and a great breathable fabric with short sleeve for added comfort. I loved the full length zip from and stylish hood that was definitely different than some cover ups I've seen. An easy and simple way to totally change up the look.
It was definitely an awesome night and looking forward to next year.
